I don’t think anyone can argue that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, gives you energy (a better one than a strong cup of coffee) and sets you in the mood to accomplish the important tasks you have until noon.

I’ve always been a morning person and I’m never living home without having breakfast, even though this means I’ll have to get up really early or prepare everything from the night before, I actually enjoy staying in the kitchen when everyone is asleep and do my stuff while it’s quiet.

Here’s my weekdays breakfast routine: plain yogurt with chia seeds and oatmeal, but sometimes tends to be a bit too boring especially in a rainy Monday morning šŸ™‚ Therefore, my daily breakfast routine needed a little more style and attitude.

This berry Greek yogurt parfait allows you to start the day out in a more cheerful and tasteful way, while you’re still enjoying the benefits of healthy meal and who doesn’t love to feel full of good energy and joyful every morning?

For this parfait I’ve use a full fat Greek yogurt, but you can substitute that with a non-fat one.

You can always be creative with this fruit parfait, especially because it allows you to add almost all the fruits you want (and have at hand) and play around with the yogurt, to add some quinoa instead of chia, or even replace it with a vegan one. Options are infinite, and the taste will still be pretty darn delicious.

  • 300 ml Greek yogurt
  • 200 gr berry mix
  • 2 tbsp of raspberry jam/preserves
  • 100 gr oatmeal
  • 2 tsp chia seeds (optional)
  • fresh mint (optional)
  1. Mix the chia seeds with the Greek yogurt and set aside for 5-10 minutes, allowing the seeds to gel a bit.
  2. In a glass or a jar layer the Greek chia seeds yogurt, raspberry jam (only 1 layer), oatmeal, berries and repeat.
  3. Dig in and enjoy the berry Greek yogurt parfait’s sublime taste.

Cred ca nimeni nu ma poate contrazice cand spun ca micul dejun este cea mai importanta masa a zilei: iti da energie buna si iti transmite dispozitia necesara sa iti indeplinesti cele mai grele task-uri pana la pranz. Rutina mea din zilele saptamanii presupune un bol cu iaurt, seminte de chia si cereale integrale, dar cateodata micul dejunĀ se poate transforma in ceva foarte plictisitor, mai ales intr-o dimineata ploioasa de luni šŸ™‚ Asa ca bolul cu cerealeĀ are nevoie, uneori, de o reimprospatare si o noua atitudine.

Parfait-ul cu iarut grecesc si fructe de padure imi da ocazia sa-mi incep ziua cu o stare de spirit pozitiva, in timp ce ma bucur in continuare de o masa sanatoasa si echilibrata.

Cu siguranta poti fi foarte creativ/a in privinta parfait-ului, mai ales ca poti sa adaugi fructele pe care ti le doresti, sau le ai la indemana, sau poti inlocui iaurtul grecesc cu unul vegan.

300 ml iaurt grecesc

200 gr fructe de padure

2 linguri dulceata de zmeura

100 gr cereale integrale

2 lingurite de chia (optional)

menta proaspata (optional)

Intr-un bol amesteca iaurtul cu semintele de chia si lasa deoparte pentru 5-10 minute, pana cand acestea incep sa-si mareasca volumul.

Separat, intr-un pahar sau borcan aseaza, pe straturi, iaurtul, dulceata (doar 1 strat), cerealele si fructele de padure. Repeta pana umpli paharul. Orneaza cu frunze de menta proaspata si serveste cu pofta.
